PPGPL Corporate Overview

Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited (PPGPL) is a local company which was formed in May 1989 and began producing on June 15, 1991. It is owned by NGC NGL (51%), Trinidad and Tobago NGL Holdings Limited (39%) and an investment consortium, Pan West Engineers and Constructors, LLC (10%).

PPGPL’s facility is designed to process raw natural gas from the existing natural gas pipeline system and extract natural gas liquids contained therein. This process allows it to deliver cleaner gas, free of heavy hydrocarbons, to downstream petrochemical plants.

The plant also fractionates the natural gas liquids into three components: propane, butane and natural gasoline. Its products, Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), is marketed locally as well as to the Caribbean and Central American markets, while the natural gasoline is marketed further afield.
